ICCA was delighted to run a course for the American Inns of Court National Advocacy Training Programme in September 2016. The training was held in Philadelphia and led by HHJ Joanna Korner CMG QC. Accompanying Judge Korner were Mukul Chawla QC, Tracy Ayling QC, Jo Sidhu QC, Martin Griffiths QC, HHJ Patrick Thomas QC and Ijeoma Omambala.
The participants were a well prepared and diverse group, actively engaging in the training programme. The case study used, written by Judge Korner, was engaging and well received by participants and observers alike.
Although none of the participants were familiar with the Hampel method, their feedback demonstrated it made a lasting impression noting that their advocacy skills had improved and developed as a result of the training provided.
The positive experience will ensure that ICCA supports further advocacy training programmes in other US on behalf of the American Inns of Court. Follow this link to download the full report.
