The ICCA has carefully monitored the outbreak and spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus and has taken the decision today to ask all staff to work from home wherever possible. We are operating a policy of non-essential travel and social distancing in order to protect ourselves, and one another, from the spread of the virus.
We have steps in place to enable staff to work effectively and remotely in order to provide our prospective students with a continuing excellent service. Work continues to prepare the Bar Course for launch in September 2020.
We are very conscious that these are troubling and unsettling times for all, and especially for those who may not be able to take their undergraduate or GDL exams in the circumstances that were originally planned. We will do all we can to ensure that you are not unfairly disadvantaged.
Our Admin and Student Support Teams are contactable during office hours and our Bar Course Leader will answer any queries you might have in the coming weeks and months leading to the commencement of Part One of the Bar Course. As our staff are working remotely you are advised to contact them by email in the first instance.
We will not be announcing any plans for the ICCA Bar Course summer event until much more is known about the spread of the virus.
As soon as we have any information, we will be in touch with all those who have been selected and we will publish information for those who wish to apply for the next Cycle of the Bar Course.
Above all, we wish you good health and urge you to follow this practical advice in order to avoid coronavirus:
Try to stay calm and if you are in self-isolation, keep in touch with your friends and family remotely. Learn a new skill, catch up on some box sets and be kind to yourself and others.
