The Inns of Court College of Advocacy, ICCA (formerly the ATC) has produced a manual and accompanying DVD to assist the Inns and Circuits in training their advocacy trainers in the Hampel Method and its application during advocacy training sessions.
The manual sets out the six stages of the method, and gives practical advice to help newly trained practitioners provide the highest quality advocacy training both to Pupils and New Practitioners. Key elements of the manual include:
- advice on practical elements of arranging an advocacy training session
- details of how each of the stages of the Hampel Method should be applied to a student's performance
- the use of DVD reviews, and
- teaching advanced advocacy
The manual is freely available, follow this link to download it.
